PETSIE Joins City of Toronto’s BluePaw Program to Support Responsible Pet Ownership

PETSIE is officially a BluePaw Partner with the City of Toronto, a program designed to reward responsible pet ownership while helping support animal welfare across the city.

Through the BluePaw initiative, pet owners who license their cats and dogs gain access to exclusive discounts, services, and resources from trusted local businesses, while also contributing directly to programs that protect and care for animals in need.

Let’s be real, caring for a pet comes with love, but also real costs. Licensing your pet is not just about meeting city requirements; it’s about unlocking meaningful benefits that support both you and your pet’s well-being.

Pet licence fees in Toronto range from $15 to $50 for cats, and up to $60 for some dogs, making it an accessible way to access long term value. With a valid pet licence, owners receive a free ID tag, access to HomeSafe® and their 24/7 lost pet recovery support, helping ensure pets can be safely reunited with their families if they ever go missing.

In addition, pet owners gain access to exclusive discounts and perks from BluePaw partners, including services like dog walking, pet sitting, veterinary care, pet products, pet photography, pet insurances and more.

Licence fees go directly back to Toronto Animal Services to help support programs such as pet adoption, spaying/neutering and medical care for lost and homeless animals and to make the program even more accessible, pet owners aged 65+ receive 50% off licence fees, and households earning under $50,000 may qualify for subsidized or waived fees.
